Warranty
30 day warranty on all exchanges, defective
or damaged items.
We cover
all items we sell with a 30 day exchange period. If you are not
happy with your purchase, we will gladly exchange it for another
item from our large GPS inventory with no restocking fee. The differerence
in cost will be charged or credited on a case by case basis according
to our competitive discount pricing. Please contact
us for assistance on exchanges.
Defective
items are also covered with our 30 day exchange period, no restocking
fee.
Please contact
us immediately if your order has been damaged during shipment.
Please keep the original
manufacturer packaging and contact us
by any means for a return authorization if you need to return a
defective or damaged item.
We need the manufacturer packaging
in any condition for us to send the item back to the manufacturer.
All manufacturers we feature on our website track package serial
numbers for quality assurance and require original packaging for
returns.
Software that has been deemed
obsolete by the manufacturer at the time of purchase (Garmin or
Magellan only) will be picked up (via UPS) at no charge and promptly
replaced with the newest version. NightOwl GPS specializes in providing
the latest software for your GPS system. APO, FPO and other customers
outside the 48 mainland states may be exempt from this clause as
UPS pickup is not an option, please contact
us.
"No Gray Market" Guarantee
All products sold by NightOwl GPS
are guaranteed to be brand new, factory authorized and intended
for sale in the U.S.A. Any product sold by NightOwl GPS that is
found to be intended for sale only outside of the U.S.A. by the
product manufacturer is eligible for a full refund, including shipping
and handling upon receipt of return. All products sold by NightOwl
GPS ship in unopened box, with U.S. software and drivers.
The product UPC number can be an
indicator of product origin. Feel free to call the product manufacturer
with the UPC code to be reassured that your product will have U.S.
warranty, language, software, accessories, and features intended
for U.S. users. Feel free to contact us
if you would like the UPC code of any product.
Returns
Returns that are not defective or
damaged must be made within 30 days of receiving order. A 10% restocking
fee and shipping charges may be charged on all returned items that
are not defective or damaged*.
Please note that the following items
may not be returned:
- Opened software packages
- Discontinued items, special order
items, and consumable items.
- Items for which manufacturers
will not accept returns by the vendor.
- Items not purchased by NightOwl
GPS.
- Units without all original contents
and packaging.
- Items which have undergone
revisions without being assigned a new part # by the manufacturer.
All returns must have the
complete Return Authorization # (RA #) prominently displayed on
the shipping label in order to be received into our warehouse. If
the RA # is not visible, your shipment may be refused due to security
regulations.
DO NOT place shipping labels
or write RA #s on the outside of manufacturer's boxes, as returns
must be shipped in a shipping carton in order for you to receive
credit. Contact us if you need an RA#.
Re-box all returns in appropriate
shipping cartons. All original packaging and materials including
literature, software and cables that was provided by the manufacturer
must be returned with the product.
Credits will be issued at the original
purchase price or current selling price, whichever is lower, minus
restocking fee. This only applies to returns that do not want an
exchange or replacement.

Payment Terms
- Cashier's checks or money orders
must be received and negotiated prior to shipment. Click
here for our printable order form.
- No C.O.D.s
- Credit Cards: Visa, MasterCard,
American Express. Our
policy is to post-authorize (bill) transactions when the product
is ready to ship. Special orders may be exempt, see below.
Special Orders
- Must be prepaid and are non-cancelable
and non-returnable. Customer will be notified by phone and/or
email if a special order is necessary.
Purchase Orders
- Purchase Orders and payment terms
are accepted from Government, Educational and Corporate businesses
and fulfilled on a case by case basis. Net payable terms are 30
days. A hard copy purchase order including bank and credit reference
information is usually required. Please contact
us with any questions.
Returned Checks
- A service charge of $50.00 per
check charged for any returned check.
Sales Tax
- California residents subject
to 8% sales tax.
Pricing
- Prices are subject to change without
notice.
- Quantity pricing may be available.
- Not responsible for typographical
or other pricing errors.
You will never be billed more than what is on your order without
proper confirmation.
Shipping
- Free
UPS ground delivery within the continental United States on
orders over $600
- Alaskan
and Hawaiian orders subject to extra shipping charges for UPS
Air Shipment (same as UPS 2 day air).
- All orders
are shipped "signature required" for your security unless
other arrangements are made.
- APO/FPO
orders are subject to $20 S/H fees. We will contact APO/FPO customers
via email if other charges are necessary. APO/FPO orders ordered
UPS 2 day will ship within 3 business days via US Priority Mail
if item(s) is/are in stock.
- Scanners,
printers, and other heavyweight items are subject to additional
shipping fees and charges.
Customer will be notified and will be required to reply if such
charges are to be applied to order without prior acknowledgement.
- All refused
or unreceived orders will be subject to a handling charge of $10.00
plus freight charges and/or shipping fees unless the shipment
was our error.
- NightOwl GPS must be notified within 3 business days
of receipt of any damaged goods or shortages.
- Orders
outside the United States of America are not accepted at this
time. (APO & FPO okay with $20 S/H charge)
- Damage
during shipping must be reported within 3 days of receipt. It
is preferred that the customer refuses shipment and notifies
us immediately if product is apparently damaged during shipment.
Strict Privacy Policy
At NightOwl GPS we recognize that
you expect privacy and security for your personal and financial
information. We understand the need to safeguard our sensitive information
about you that you have entrusted to us. It is our highest priority
to maintain standards, safeguards and procedures designed to prevent
misuse of this information.
Contact information is only used to communicate with customers about
orders or product inquiries. NightOwl GPS will at no time sell or
use ones personal information for any other purpose. We promise
we won't even use it for our own promotional purposes!
